FCPS POLICY ON PORTABLE DEVICES
“FCPS regulation prohibits the use of portable electronic communication devicesduring the school day and during bus transportation. Students are required to keep such items completely turned off and concealed in their book bag or lockers and are prohibited from taking unauthorized photographs of others.” 2009 FCPS Calendar Handbook

Students are not to call or text from their cell phone during the school day. Phones must be powered off and out of sight at all times during the school day and on the school bus. We have WFMS phones available if a student needs to contact home.

WFMS cell phone consequences for FCPS Policy violation (having the phone out during the school day) are:

1 st offense – phone taken, student may retrieve the phone in the main office at the end of the day

2 nd offense – phone taken, student may retrieve the phone in the main office at the end of the day after a parent has been contacted

3 rd offense – phone taken, parent must pick up phone in the main office
