It’s Spring in the Renzulli Room

Celebrations!

  • Stock Market Team winners (First Place, Middle School, State level!) for the fall were: Marqus Burrell, Ellen Back, Samuel Khai, Christian Morales, and Sophie Donan.

  • Madelyne Xiao, a Reznulli Writer, was the county-wide winner for her short story, “A Rapeller’s Mark.” Madelyne and other winners from county middle schools were recognized at a reception at the Urbana Public Library on March 13.

  • Debate team success—Eighth graders Maddie Tepper, Tom Faison, Ellen Back, Amelia Weinberg and Kelsey Brown competed in the county-wide middle school debate on March 7. They did a great job and received kudos from the judges.

Requests

·        Do you know of someone who could be a guest speaker for our students? So far this year, students have heard about the de-segregation of Frederick schools in the 1960s, the bravery of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II, student rights for free speech, engineering, and story telling. We welcome all ideas and topics that benefit students in the middle grades!

·        Parent chaperones are always needed for field trips. Watch for upcoming announcements.

Thank you for your continuing support1
