Let’s Help

STOP WASTING AND START GIVING

 

*      Choose 3 non-profit organizations to raise money to assist.  Any 2 that  students choose (worldwide) + CEPIA in Costa Rica.

*      Choose one local non-profit to perform physical help on weekend(s).  Weekend help (at least once is a requirement, if you are not willing or not able, please do not sign up).

*      Research, online, agencies that students are interested in helping financially.

*      Research, online, local agencies that students are interested in helping with manpower (weekends).

*      Make posters to hang around school to make others aware of what we are doing.

*      Morning announcements about fund drives.

*      Contact Frederick News Post to make community aware of what we are doing.

 

Money will be collected for 9 weeks and disbursed equally between the three charities, at the end of the 9 weeks.  Students will decide on ways to raise funds (i.e. bake sales, car washes, collecting change throughout the school, yard sale, asking community members for sponsorships, etc.).

 

Students will choose ways to help local agencies with manpower (ie, cleaning up yards for elderly citizens, cleaning up local parks, prom for nursing home residents, talent show for nursing home residents, horse care at horse rescue farm, working with disabled children, etc.).

 

The agencies receiving help will change when student membership changes, every 9 weeks (can possibly stay the same).

 

Students will change every 9 weeks.  Students will not stay in the club back to back sessions, but can sign up again…later.
