Meet Ms. Brown
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to the 2007-08 school year. The Walkersville faculty and staff are committed to "everyone succeeding through quality learning for all." We encourage you to "work together" as our partners to continue to be a quality school. To achieve our goal, it is important for all adults to have a shared understanding and to communicate openly and frequently.
Please be sure to review the information in the WES handbook and in your child's agenda. Read and post your home school communications to help you and your family to be informed and involved. A monthly calendar of events and biweekly For Your Information bulletins will be sent home on Thursdays. You will also be receiving our monthly PTA publication entitled "The Backpack Gazette." I know you will find each of these important communications helpful.
I invite you to join us in providing the best educational opportunities for your child both in school and at home. Visit your child's classroom, sign your child's agenda daily and communicate with his or her teacher. Join the PTA, volunteer your time and energy, ask questions and seek clarification to enhance collaboration and understanding. Help your child with homework and school projects. Your support and involvement are keys to your child's success.
