PTA SPONSORED EVENTS Back-to School Night: This is a joint school/PTA program which allows parents to meet the school staff and visit their child's classroom. The evening includes a short PTA meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend. Fall Fundraiser: This is our main fundraiser which accounts for a majority of our PTA budget. We are selling Innisbrook giftwrap and gourmet foods. Grandparents Breakfast: This annual breakfast (held the week of Grandparent’s Day) allows students to bring their grandparents to school and enjoy a breakfast supplied by the PTA. Book Fair: This is held during fall conference week and provides in-school times for students to preview books and place orders, as well as "cash-n-carry" hours for parents to purchase books. All proceeds are donated to our Media Center. Family Activities: Throughout the year, the PTA sponsors family activities, such as movie night and bingo, for all students and their families. Strawberry Festival: This "carnival" type festival, held in Spring, features activities for all ages. Games, DJ provided music and entertainment and a wide selection of food is offered. Strawberries with ice cream is the highlight of the event. Coffee Chats: Twice a year, the PTA sponsors a casual atmosphere for all parents to address our principals with their questions and/or concerns. Silent Auction: This event is held in spring. You may bid on items such as trips, gift certificates, jewelry, various other items that have been donated by community members/businesses. In recent years, this has been a large fundraiser for the PTA. Cultural Arts: Performances/Events scheduled throughout the school year based on school curriculum. RIF: Reading is Fundamental – Program scheduled to encourage 2nd grade students to pursue reading. |
