working together for the benefit of the school and children.
Our concerns -- home, school, community -- are your concerns.

OBJECTIVES

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
• To raise the standards of home life.
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
• To bring into closer relation the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of the child.
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

To join the PTA contact Melissa Barry at 301-874-1935 or mdbarry1@juno.com or print the Membership form, attach a check (made out to UES PTA) and send it to school ATTN: PTA Membership.  The membership dues will be announced the end of August. The membership dues support many functions at our school. Your family will be included in a PTA School Directory and you will have voting rights at all of our PTA meetings. Thank you for your support.

Be in the Loop! The PTA has implemented a school wide e-mail list to provide a vital means of communication between the school staff and parents. Our "e-mail loop" is used only for school and PTA purposes such as notices on upcoming events, announcements, meetings, etc. If you are interested in bocoming a member of the 2006-2007 e-mail loop and haven't already completed an e-mail form for the current school year, please send you name, e-mail address and student name(s) to UESPTA@gmail.com .
