Elizabeth Coeburn

My name is Elizabeth Coeburn, and I am excited to be teaching special education at Middletown Primary and Tuscarora Elementary School this year. I received my bachelor’s degree from Hood College. I am certified in Elementary Education and Special Education.

My husband, step-son, and I live in Hagerstown. I enjoy horseback riding, reading, camping, and four-wheeling. We have two dogs. Buddy is a Basset Hound mix, and Shiloh is a Beagle mix. Shiloh is a recent addition to our family.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with the students and families at Tuscarora Elementary and Middletown Primary School.

Aida Roque

Another blessed year for me to work as Instructional assistant and serving the first, second and third grade students in Math and Language Arts Intervention. My passion is to help kids to learn and help classwork easy and fun. This is a very challenging but very rewarding job.

I have taught as a Special Education teacher both in private and public schools for 25 years. I help opened the Centerville Elementary School in Urbana. I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education at the Catholic University of St.Thomas and my MS. in Special Education at The Queensland University in Brisbane, Australia.

At home, I love to be with my family. Frances my daughter is a Bio-chemistry Senior Research Analyst, my son Teddy is a Computer Programmer and my youngest son Paul a Television production assistant at NBC 25 and Frederick County. My family and I enjoy cooking, dining out, gardening and doing endless home improvement because my husband is an Architect by profession. We love sports like football, basketball, bowling and fishing. Reading and listening to smooth jazz and classic rock is our quiet time. And last but not least, I do quilting with the "Golden Girls”.

Whatever our job is, we could still make a big difference in peoples' life. Let's make Tuscarora Elementary School one of the finest and the best school in Frederick.

Stephanie Watson

Hello, my name is Stephanie Watson, and I am thrilled to be starting my first year as a Special Educator at Tuscarora Elementary School!   I grew up in Middletown, so I am familiar with Frederick County.   I received my Bachelors degree in both Elementary and Special Education from Hood College.

I live in Hagerstown with my daughter Addison.   She is in the 4 th grade and attends Emma K. Doub.   We also are proud “parents” to two very wonderful and fat cats – Clover and Lovey.

When I am not working at school, I can be found at the YMCA, where my daughter is on the swim team – GO GATORS!   I also enjoy movies, Geology, and yard sales.   I also like to spend the rest of my time with my family, and if there is any left over, I like to do horizontal thinking (sleeping!).

This year will be an exciting time for me and I am looking forward to spending my time with your children and your families!

Gina Schmitz

I am very happy to be returning to Tuscarora Elementary School this year. I am a Special Education Teacher and I am currently working with 4 th and 5 th grades. I attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Elementary Education. I also received a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Teaching from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Working at Tuscarora Elementary School is amazing!! Our students are truly the best!!

My immediate family lives in Frederick. I have two children, Keegan and Brendan who both attend Tuscarora. Keegan is in third grade and Brendan is in first grade. We also have a long-haired Chihuahua named Roddy who has tons of energy! My husband, Jason, and I love to travel and spend time with our family and friends.
