Kristina Foley

Once again I am very happy to welcome all our new students to first grade!  I am honored to have been one of the teachers that originally opened Tuscarora.  I am so proud of the growth and success of the students and the school as a whole. 

     I live in Frederick with my husband and three grown kids.  My oldest, Johnny, is now an accountant in Bethesda, Colleen is a senior in college about to become a Dental Hygienist and our youngest, Matty, gives us the title of "empty nesters" as he is entering York College this fall.  We adopted a new puppy this year and I have enjoyed training him.  I also like to run/walk, spending time at the beach and attending many sporting events. 

     It is such a privilege to be part of the Tuscarora School Community.  I look forward to meeting each of you this year as well as spending cherished time with your children!

I am so happy to be starting another school year at Tuscarora Elementary School and to be one of the many people that have helped establish such a wonderful learning community of staff, students and their families.

A little about myself…...I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Specialization, both of which were conferred from Hood College.  When the opportunity presents itself, I'd like to pursue a doctoral program. 

My family and I reside in Middletown.  Our lively home is in a constant state of improvement - I love interior design and any opportunity I can find to express my creativity, so I'm always trying new things.  I'm in a book club, which I very much enjoy and look forward to each month.  I'm also

My teenage daughters, Stephanie and Hayley, keep me busy with their active social lives- how many slumber parties can there be?  Stephanie will be a junior this year, with plans to pursue a Graphic Arts/Creative Writing degree.  Hayley will be a freshman, and wants to become a teacher.

Julie Jeffrey

Hi!  I’m Ms. Jeffrey.  This is my second year teaching at Tuscarora Elementary School and I am very excited to be back in action for another school year!  Prior to being at Tuscarora, I taught third grade at Glade Elementary School in Walkersville.  I attained my Bachelors degree from Hood College in Early Childhood Education and I am now working on my Masters Degree with a Reading Specialization.  I am thrilled to now be part of such a wonderful learning community!  I got married this summer!  Yay!  My husband and I reside in Frederick, Maryland and enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with our families and each other.  I have a new kitten named Talula, and I love animals.  I am looking forward to the year ahead in first grade.  Thank you for your continued support and I know this year will be an outstanding year!
