I grew up out of state, but spent every summer here in Thurmont since I was 9 months old, and live locally now, so I feel as if I can say I know the area very well. I graduated from college with a degree in political science and received a masters degree in marketing while I was living in London, England. I received certification in early childhood in both regular and special education from Hood College.

I worked as a special ed ass't for Frederick County. Than as a special ed teacher for a private nonprofit organization supervising educational programs for autistic children. After returning to Frederick County, I worked as a special ed teacher at Rock Creek for many years and one year at Thurmont Primary before coming to Thurmont Elementary School.

I am very excited about being part of the Learning for Life program at Thurmont Elementary School.
