I have been teaching at Thurmont Elementary School since 1996.  I have taught second, third and fourth grades during my teaching career.  I attended Frostburg State College, and received my Master’s Degree from Hood College.  I love teaching in Thurmont, with its beautiful view of the mountains.

My hobbies include: hiking, camping, gardening and writing poetry.  I also love to read, whenever I get a spare moment.

My family consists of my husband – Dennis, my three children – Michael, Brian and Laurie, a very hyperactive Border Collie named “Buddy”, and four sweet cats – Annie, Muffy, Colby and Boots.
