I am a native of Maryland.  I have lived in Baltimore and Howard County but spent the majority of my childhood years in Frederick County.  After I got married I lived in several towns in Pennsylvania and now reside in Gettysburg with my husband and two beautiful children.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.  I am currently enrolled in a graduate program at Hood College to become certified as a Reading Specialist.

Before becoming employed by Frederick County Public Schools, I worked in a private school setting.  I spent four years teaching in the primary grades; two years teaching first grade and two years teaching second grade.  Upon becoming employed by FCPS, I taught Language Arts for one year on a part-time basis and am now employed full-time as a fifth grade teacher.
