The following information has been collected by Frederick County Public School sixth graders. This 2-day field study of local rivers and streams is a follow-up to the water unit taught in the classroom. Students collect water data, observe biodiversity, and interact with their local ecosystems as part of their natural world. They also take part in student service learning as they conduct meaninful learning experiences in the watersheds of the Chesapeake Bay. Click on a school year below to see data from that school year.
