- Properly head a paper with name and date
- Write a complete sentence
- Use correct capitalization and punctuation
- Write a paragraph with a topic sentence and supporting details
- Know addition and subtraction facts
- Tell time to the nearest 5-minute intervals
Children should leave third grade able to do the following tasks.
- Work independently
- Write multiple paragraphs with meaningful topic sentences and supporting details
- Write complete sentences using correct punctuation, capitalization, and grammar
- Independently read a third grade text/passage and show understanding through written communication
- Know addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts
- Communicate understanding of math through writing
- Be able to problem solve using various strategies

- Recognize and decode consonant blends, digraphs, medial consonant sounds, vowels and vowel sounds.
