- Name and recognize colors and basic shapes (square, circle, triangle, rectangle)
Children should leave kindergarten able to do the following tasks.
- Read and comprehend books
- Recognize 25 most common sight words found in books
- Identify letters of the alphabet and most of the sounds associated with the letters of the alphabet
- Generate rhyming words
- Count and write numerals 0 -31
- Understand greater than and less than
- Use the proper pencil grip
