Dear New Market Community:

It has been such a pleasure spending my first few days here at New Market Elementary. I look forward to becoming a part of your school family and am incredibly enthusiastic and excited about the opportunity to get to know the students, staff and families of this outstanding school.

Having been a resident of New Market all my life, I have spent my Saturday mornings playing basketball in your school gymnasium and little league baseball games on the fields behind the school. I still reside in New Market with my wife, Resha, and my very loyal dog, Gretta.

I received my undergraduate degree from Salisbury University and my masters from Hood College where I am presently an adjunct professor. In my professional career, I have served FCPS as a first grade, third grade and fifth grade teacher, Teacher Specialist of Elementary Language Arts assisting the Curriculum Specialist in the development of curriculum and assessment, Teacher Specialist of Professional Development supporting teachers across the county and most recently Assistant Principal of Waverley Elementary. I thoroughly enjoyed every role I experienced and believe that I learned and grew with each change.

In closing, it is a privilege and honor to have been selected to work with you at New Market Elementary School. I look forward to learning more about the school, to continuing the sound instructional programs already in place, and to meeting each and every one of you in the near future.

All the best,

Jason A. Anderson
