Welcome back to our school website. We hope you
find all of the information that you need. Please email us if you
don't see something that you need.
We have been working very hard to improve instructional uses of
technology at KES. We have currently surveyed all staff and
students in grades 1-5 to help us measure our growth. Teachers
are all participating in technology study groups learning and trying
out new technologies in their classrooms. If you have some
expertise in this area, we'd
love to hear from you. Maybe you would be willing to train staff
in a specific technology?

Kemptown Philosophy for 09-10
FISH! is a philosophy, based on the world-famous
Pikes Place Fish Market in Seattle, that provides the process,
tools and language to generate the skills necessary to design a school
full of inspiration, creativity and innovation. FISH!
creates a common language. A language that will help
improve our culture by using four simple practices – Be There,
Play, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude™. It is an
invitation that enables all of us to care about each other and our
commitments. FISH! is an ongoing journey. It is not a
fad. It is a practice and a skill that evolves over
time creating a positive learning environment and a vibrant culture
each time it is embraced.
The FISH! Philosophy is an invitation
to re-awaken the self-trusting, creative spirit within each of us. It
inspires us to start new conversations about what's possible and to
develop new attitudes about how you show up in your community both at
home and in the workplace. FISH! inspires you to have fun again, at
work, at school and at home every day of the week!
