Library Procedures
Hours
The library will be open all day from 7:50-3:20.
Book Check Out
Students will need their ID badges to check out books, so be sure you have yours! The librarian will scan your badge barcode into the computer and verify the account is yours. The barcode of the book will then be scanned and the due date stamped. A student may check up to 3 books out at any one time, for a period of 15 days. If the book is needed for longer you may bring it back in for one renewal. Report cards will be withheld for all students who have overdue books. Be sure to bring back your books!
Lunch Passes
Students may come by the library before the start of homebase to get a lunch pass. They will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. The pass system has been developed to prevent overcrowding in the library and ensure that students get plenty of help from the librarian with projects.
Computers
There are a limited number of computers and priority will be given to students working on school projects. In accordance with Frederick County policy, students checking e-mail, playing games or looking at inappropriate sites will lose computer privileges.
