Fourth Grade News
April 9, 2008
CONGRATULATIONS to our fourth graders! They gave wonderful effort in completing
this year’s MSA testing. We’re very proud of them!
Our fourth graders have two very special learning opportunities coming up:
• ESSL Visit on Tuesday, Apr. 15 (O’Neill, Moss)
or Wednesday, April 16 (Baker, Miller)
• Trip to see “Freedom Train” play at Weinberg
Center on Friday, April 18
Please be sure permission slips are returned to school in order for your child
to be able to attend these trips.
Our yard sale will be held on ____________. Please continue to send in gently
used items that your children no longer are interested in but that would be
new to others! Parent help is welcomed and appreciated as students shop with
the money they have earned in their account books. Please return the volunteer
flyer if you are available to help. Thanks for all the items and assistance
you give to make this a success!
Please continue to check your child’s homework planner daily. We post
assignments in the classroom for students to write in their planner daily,
and this is an important communication for all of us. In this season of spring
sports, please help us to reinforce that sports don’t supersede homework.
Congratulations to our fourth grade History Bee participants: Amanda Danner,
________________ . They represented our school well at FCC last month at the
Frederick County History Bee. Great job!
We are enjoying the chance to work with you and your children. If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning, please contact your child’s teacher. We’re here to help! Happy Spring!
