Brunswick Elementary School Art Teacher, Miss Dirks, was
awarded a Fulbright Memorial Fund scholarship to study in Japan. In
October 2003 she traveled with 198 other educators from every state
in the US to various cities and prefectures in Japan. The program
consists of lecutres, on various topics including Education, Economics
and the Arts, visits to historical places, travel from Tokyo to a
smaller city, visits to Elementary, Junior High and Senior High Schools
and a weekend homestay with Japanese family. |
