Hi!  I am Laura Keilholtz and I am excited to be teaching Fourth Grade at Thurmont Elementary School.  I actually attended Thurmont Elementary as a child.  I graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s in December of 2003.  I have been teaching in Frederick County since 2004.  I have been at Thurmont since 2006 and prior to that I taught second grade at Green Valley Elementary.  I love Reading.  I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Hood College.  I live in Thurmont and enjoy the small town atmosphere.  I try to stay involved with community and church activities.  In my spare time, I enjoy crafts and scrapbooking. 

     I am very excited about the opportunity to work with you and your child this year.  It is my goal to keep your child healthy, happy, and learning!  Please feel free and encouraged to contact me at any time.  The quickest way to reach me is by e-mail.  I do check e-mail regularly throughout the school day.  I am also available by school phone or by sending a note with your child.  I look forward to working together for your child to be successful this year!
