Mr. Jones – Grade 3

I am overjoyed to be a part of the TES team. This is my 2nd year as a teacher. I spent my first year teaching 3rd Graders at another school in the county. I did my student teaching at TES, so I have worked with most of the staff before. This is the biggest part of my wanting to come back – The People! I love working in and for the community of Thurmont. I earned my BS Degree in Elementary Education at Mt. Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg. While working towards my degree I worked for a private energy corporation as a technician. Prior to that experience, I volunteered six years of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear trained machinist mate. I am happily married. My wife and I devote our time and attention at home to six wonderful boys and we are expecting our first daughter in December. We live on a small farm in Pennsylvania.
